What Your Library Card Can Do For You!
Previously, our library cards were basically symbolic, and most of you left them on file with us. But your card now wields power! We are very excited to announce that you may now use your library card online to see what you have checked out, place holds and inter-library loans, access our catalogue, make purchase suggestions, and more!
Using the link below, you can search our catalogue, but in order to place holds, etc., you will need your library card, username and password. We have your cards ready to distribute at the circulation desk, and will give you yor username and password as well. You may still check out materials inside the actual library using your name rather than your card, so feel free to tape your newly vitalized library card to your computer at home if it makes your life easier.
There are also items that can be checked out at your very own community library that are not listed in the catalogue. These include an electric guitar (seriously), electric keyboard and amp, thanks to the generosity of one of our fabulous patrons; flip video cameras (yes, really, you can borrow them); and a waterproof digital camera (that's right)! For details of how this works, ask your friendly librarian.
The bookclub will be discussing "The Invention of Wings" by Sue Monk Kidd on Tuesday, December 2nd at 1:30 in the afternoon. Join us for coffee, tea, goodies, and lively conversation!
We are proud to announce the launch of the Barbara D. Davis History Room Online!
