After-School Programs
ACE - Academic Enrichment (began fall of 2009)
Provides homework assistance and enrichment resources for up to 12 students, grades 2-8 (possibly 9-12 depending on available tutors), each school year
Tutoring for elementary school students will occur at Kids Club (more information below)
Pairs students with dedicated volunteers for homework help, mentoring, and one-on-one guidance
Offers enrichment activities on a number of topics to inspire learning and academic exploration
Let us know if your student needs tutoring or if you are interested in volunteering as a tutor.
KIDS CLUB
Traditional fee-based after-school program funded by the Athenaeum through yearly grants, administered by the Dalton CRA, and held at the Becket Washington School
$6 per child per day
(If the fee is cost-prohibitive, financial assistance from the Dalton CRA is available.)Care provided from 2:55pm to 5:30pm
Afternoon snack provided
Gym games, reading, and educational learning activities (homework help)
Outdoor activities (wear weather-appropriate clothing)

YOUTH ENRICHMENT began in 2012 as an expansion of the Homework Helpers Program (precursor to ACE) and has now evolved into year-round family and child programming open to all in the Becket-Washington community.
Workshops and presentations will be posted on our Events page, as well as on Facebook and Instagram.
Diverse topics to include: nature, gardening, crafts, storytelling, jewelry making, cooking, beekeeping, and so much more.
Occasional outings to the Berkshire Outdoor Center for teambuilding, ropes course, archery, and more!
