Growing Food, Growing Bodies

Tis the season of growing! Local gardening expert, Pat Parkins of Gardens of the Goddess, will teach us about planting seeds and Tonya Halley (a.k.a. Nurse Tonya) will teach us about farming, and the nutritional & health benefits of eating what we grow.

Friday, May 6 & 13
3-5pm

Open to Becket/Washington residents in grades 3-8.
Space is limited. Preregistration is required.

*All plans are subject to change.

  • Athenaeum staff/volunteers collect students from Becket Washington Elementary and walk with them to the library. Other students from Becket/Washington may arrive by bus or car by 3:15.

  • Snack provided

  • We will follow the mask requirements as set forth by Central Berkshire Regional School District. As of 3/14/22, masks are no longer required.

  • Pick up participants from the library at 5pm
