Join us for a field trip to Honey Hill in Cummington, home of Wing & a Prayer Nursery!
Amy Pulley will guide us on a tour and speak about what inspired her to create a world where pollinators and their preferences guide the design, plant offerings, and methods of working in the nursery. Wing and a Prayer Nursery is Amy's expression of love for native plants and pollinators. She honors the work of pollinators with every step, seed, & turn of the soil.
Meredyth Babcock, from the Wild & Scenic Westfield River Committee, will join us to share how Wing and a Prayer offers the river communities the power of plants to regenerate lost or compromised habitat.
Meet at the library and carpool to/from Wing and a Prayer (approx 35 min each way)
Masks are encouraged during carpool especially if you are immunocompromised or not vaccinated.
Space is limited. Preregistration required.
Wild & Scenic Westfield River Committee's mission is “...to preserve, protect and enhance the special qualities and outstanding resources of the Westfield River Watershed in concert with local communities."
The Westfield River was first designated a National Wild and Scenic River in 1993. Over seventy-eight miles of the Westfield River are now officially considered “Wild and Scenic.” As local community members and river stewards, we work to keep the river clean and sparkling. We promote respectful enjoyment of the watershed while protecting the river and its fish and wildlife.
