In celebration of the month that brings us Earth Day, we will learn about conservation, sustainability, and endangered species from *local* scientists!

Open to Becket/Washington residents in grades 3-8.
Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
April 1: Field trip to a local state forest with forester, Tom Ryan
April 8: "What does a river need and how can I help?" with Meredyth Babcock of Wild & Scenic Westfield River
April 29: Zach Adams from Mass Audubon will teach us about animal conservation
*All plans are subject to change depending upon weather, staffing, and transportation.
Athenaeum staff/volunteers collect students from Becket Washington Elementary and walk with them to the library. Other students from Becket/Washington may arrive by bus or car by 3:15.
Snack provided, to be eaten outside or spread apart inside the library with our air purifiers running
Athenaeum staff/volunteers drive students to a local state forest & back to the library for pickup on April 1
We will follow the mask requirements as set forth by Central Berkshire Regional School District. As of 3/14/22, masks are no longer required.
Pick up participants from the library at 5pm
