We will visit Holiday Brook Farm in Dalton to learn how maple syrup is made and spend an afternoon at the library making our very own maple candy*!

Pickup location and time are dependent on syrup-making conditions. We will notify registrants a few days prior to the first session if it will be at the farm or the library. The day we visit Holiday Brook Farm, pickup will be at 5pm at the farm (100 Holiday Cottage Rd, Dalton) OR 5:30pm at the library. The day we are at the library, pickup will be 5pm at the library.
Open to Becket/Washington residents in grades 3-8.
Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
*Activities are subject to change due to syrup-making conditions.
Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. Clothing for participants can be dropped off at the Athenaeum in advance.
Athenaeum staff/volunteers collect students from Becket Washington Elementary and walk with them to the library. Other students from Becket/Washington may arrive by bus or car.
